Our trip was memorable, so much to see, so much history….and shopping? well it was amazing! Unfortunately as lovely and rare the things we saw were, most were too big to bring home, though we managed to bring some of the great stuff we found.
A rare Victorian garden edger with all four symbols of the British Isles. Usually there was so much conflict between them they didn’t include every symbol in one decoration! A rainy day in Dublin For the avid stukadoor: Three generations of family collected these molds in Ireland
We had a wonderful time in Provence, on our annual Flea Market Tour. Here is a sample of what we saw, and what’s coming to the shop from our finds in France! The weather, the company and our itinerary, were all just perfect, this is the highlight of the year for us. We’d love to […]
This amazing iron piece would make a unique headboard, it’s big enough for a King size bed. Or, it would be equally grand installed as wall art. Its story is as unique and interesting as it looks. It was once an iron transit cover over an elevator from an early 1900’s building in New York City. […]
Victorian iron fencing is hard to find. This is only the second time in 10 years we’ve had it in our Shasta Lake antique shop. These beauties were picked up during our summer road trip in the Midwest. Made by Crager Wireworks in Salt Lake City, we have roughly 50 ft of vintage fencing […]
I love the iron work on this couch, which would look great in a sun-room. This neon clock is a real show-stopper, at 3 feet wide it dresses a wall nicely! This is said to be French prison art, the fine beading on this is amazing!
We have marked nearly all inventory down 15% for this 4-day 4th of July celebration. We are making room for all the new treasures we brought home from our Midwest “Picking” trip. Here are some of the items now available at reduced prices: This antique wax figure of Jesus made its way from […]
On our road trip through the Midwest we stopped at the Walnut Flea Market in Iowa and found great examples of creating something new from some of these great pieces which were once part of Victorian farm houses! We even bought a cool zinc-coated cupola (they call it a witch’s hat) to use for garden art. This is […]
This galvanized cupola came off of an old barn in Minnesota. It is 8 ft. tall! While picking in Iowa, we met Ken at the Walnut, Iowa Flea Market. He said he had 4 barns full of architectural salvage, so we drove North 2.5 hours to look… Here’s a peek into one of his barns, our […]
This was our first find, cool spindle railing from a Victorian home in Illinois. We are bringing home enough pieces to make 40+ ft. length. On our picking adventures we found this little gem! Yesterday’s best pick: a super cool antique storm cellar door from an old farm in Northern Missouri… Imagine if […]
