Iron architectural salvage as a design element

This amazing iron piece would make a unique headboard, it’s big enough for a King size bed. Or, it would be equally grand installed as wall art. Its story is as unique and interesting as it looks. It was once an iron transit cover over an elevator from an early 1900’s building in New York City. It was originally covered with a very hard solution, like a baked-on enamel finish. We love that it has a Fleur de Lis design in the middle…     So French!
